Welcome to the Whale Class Blog!
The purpose of this blog is to provide a space for comment and conversation about contextual learning and teaching and how it can be used to promote environmental and marine education.
Use this space to ask questions about the class and what the experience will be like. You will have an opportunity to visit with selected participants from past Whale Classes.
Several members of our community are currently, or will be, conducting research in the areas of situated cognition, communities of practice, or contextual learning and teaching. This is a place where those individuals can discuss their research objectives, designs, findings, and implications.
Lastly, we are interested in hearing about how professional practice has changed since principles of contexual learning and teaching have been adopted.
